General Labourer – Demolition & Restoration

Location: Edmonton, AB

About the Position

Start Now Staffing Ltd. is currently hiring reliable and hardworking General Labourers for ongoing demolition and restoration projects throughout Edmonton and the surrounding area.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in the construction and restoration industry. No previous demolition experience is required—we are looking for dependable team players who can follow instructions and work safely.

Job Duties

• Remove carpets, flooring, baseboards, drywall, and other building materials.
• Perform clean demolition work, including approximately 2-foot flood cuts on walls.
• Assist with water damage restoration and emergency cleanup projects.
• Load and unload materials and debris.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow instructions from site supervisors and lead hands.
• Perform general labour duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Able to follow directions and work well as part of a team.
• CSA-approved steel-toe boots are required.
• Reliable transportation is considered an asset.
• Previous construction or demolition experience is an asset but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

• WHMIS Certification .
• Construction Safety Training is an asset.
• Valid driver's licence is an asset.
